Taschlish (Acrylic on mahogany panel)

One of my favorite Jewish rituals is called Taschlish. On the Jewish New Years you go to a body of water and empty your pockets asking the fish to take away all the things you dont like about yourself. I wrote things such as jealousy, pettiness, insecurity etc. on these fish and then painted over them. I also like to think of this painting as an effortless aquarium.
